The venue for the celebration will be The Feathers Royal hotel in Aberaeron. On Friday the 15th October we will have a day of presentations and discussion followed by a diner in the evening. If you wish to stay at the Feathers it can be booked via the link on the website.

The dates have been agreed for the Celebration and will be as proposed the 15th, 16th, and 17th of October 2010.
I am happy to say that we have some interest from local television networks who may be able to make a mention of the bicentenary at Neuaddlwyd in programmes next year.
The site has started to have hits, from Wales and America. Let’s hope we have many more.
Next month we will advise about the venue and accommodation.

Not much to report this week as I have been visiting family. Suggested dates for the Celebration are 15th, 16th, and 17th October 2010. The Academy was opened on 15th October 1810 so the dates are appropriate. I hope to finalise dates and venues in the next week, so watch this space!

It’s the 25th June and the site is just about ready to go, but there is still much to add. I hope to update the site every week and would be grateful for any helpful comments.
As things stand at present the possible programme would be: a meeting on a Friday to hear talks on the school, the missionaries and Thomas Phillips, on Saturday a visit to the site of the school at Penybanc and to the chapel, with a dinner in the evening, on Sunday a service will be held in the chapel at Neuaddlwyd. The venue is likely to be either the Feathers hotel, Aberaeron or the college in Lampeter.
There is much to do and 15 months will fly by!
